Properties

CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ plaster is factory mixed, dry, mineral mortar, which after mixing with water is ready for use. It is suitable for manual application. Plaster is plastic and easy to apply and process. When used correctly, it can be applied in single layers of 10 to 16 mm thick. Hardened plaster CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ is hydrophobic and permeable to water vapor as well as resistant to water, weather conditions and frost.

Application

CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ is intended for use as decorative facade plaster. It can be applied to the surface plastered with masonry plaster.

Substrate preparation

The plaster base must be load-bearing and free of substances that weaken plaster adhesion (e.g. release agents, sandy plaster fragments, dust, efflorescence, dirt). The plaster base can be dry or moist, but it cannot show moisture pressure. Old and damaged plasters, paint layers and other coatings should be carefully removed. The masonry plaster surface should be scratched before it dries and should resemble a grid.

Application method

Pour in the right amount of CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ mortar in relation to the size of the concrete mixer and work until it reaches the right, homogeneous consistency. Usability lifespan after mixing: approx. 1 hour - depending on the ambient conditions. After obtaining the right consistency CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ is applied with a masonry trowel. The applied mortar is smoothed with a stainless steel trowel to the thickness of the aggregate. The applied layer of plaster should be scraped (scratched) with a notched trowel. At the right moment (the aggregate grains must pop out) the surface should be uniformly gouged. By sweeping the scraped surfaces, subsequent flaking can be minimized. To avoid traces of joining, always work fresh on fresh. Solid mortar must not be made again by adding water or fresh mortar! Do not use at temperatures below + 5 ° C. The time instructions given relate to the normal temperature range + 20 ° C and relative humidity around 65%. Lower temperatures lengthen, higher temperatures reduce the usability lifespan and hardening time. The CYCLINE KRATZPUTZ plaster should be protected against too fast evaporation of water, especially against sunlight and wind. If the temperature remains high after application, the KRATZPUTZ CYCLINE should be bedewed with water to aid the setting process. Contraction scratches do not matter and are not considered defects because they do not affect the technical value of the plaster. Do not use on gypsum substrates.

Expenditure

With a grain size of 4-10mm, approx. 35 kg per sqm. With a grain size of 10-16 mm, approx. 45 kg per m2.

Storage and transport

The plaster should be transported and stored in tightly sealed bags, in dry conditions (preferably on pallets). Protect from moisture. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture on the packaging.
