Application

Akry-Puc SiSi silicate-silicone plaster is a thin-layer, decorative structural plaster, intended for manual application of external and internal plasters. It can be used on all even mineral substrates, such as concrete, gypsum, plasters, gypsum boards and reinforced layers in the ASTEX-TERM insulation system.

Properties

Akry-Puc SiSi silicate-silicone plaster is ready-to-use plaster in the form of a paste, based on a water dispersion of silicate and silicone resins. Akry-Puc SiSi plaster is a convenient and easy to use product. It is resistant to various types of damage (non-mechanical), as well as atmospheric factors. Silicate-silicone plaster is characterized by very low surface absorption, associated with the effect of "repelling" water molecules by hydrophobic groups. The plaster effectively protects the facade against precipitation and reduces the deposition of pollution. Provides high color fastness and easy to keep the facade clean.

Substrate preparation

The substrate should be sufficiently strong and even, cleaned of dust, dirt, lime, oils, fats, wax, remains of chalk, lime, oil and emulsion paint. Dirty surfaces covered with algae should be removed mechanically. Larger uneven surfaces should be corrected using leveling mortar. Each substrate should be primed 48 hours before applying the plaster with Akro-Primer SiSi priming emulsion colored to the color of silicate-silicone plaster.

Plastering mass preparation

Silicate-silicone plaster is delivered in ready form and consistency. It cannot be combined with other materials. After opening the bucket, its contents should be mixed to level the consistency. The consistency of the product can be regulated by a small amount of water up to 1% by weight of the product.

Application method

Onto a preperead, primed substrate stretch ASDECO plaster layer with a thickness of a aggregate's grain and then smooth out wet plaster, constantly in the same direction, using a stainless steel trowel. Excess material should be pulled back into the bucket and mixed. The plaster structure is obtained by rubbing with a plastic float. Such formed surface of the layer wet rub in order to obtain the desired texture. Rub in a circular motion to one side. The open working time (between application and seizing) depends on the absorbency of the substrate, ambient temperature and the consistency of the mortar. Protect the plastered surface from sunlight, wind and rain. The material should be applied using the "wet on wet" method, preventing the seized batch from drying before applying the next one. Otherwise, the location of this connection will be visible. Technological breaks should be planned in advance, e.g. in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the contact of colors, etc. The drying time of the plaster depends on the substrate, temperature and relative humidity of air. After applying the plaster and during its drying, the air temperature should be min. + 10 ° C and max. + 25 ° C for 12-48 hours. Avoid working in strong wind and sunshine, as well as high humidity. To avoid differences in color shades when using silicate-silicone plasters, apply plaster from the same batch to one surface of the object (production date). The manufacturer has no influence on the misuse of the material, its use for other purposes or in other conditions than those described above. The information and recommendations presented above are based on our knowledge and experience, but they should be verified in specific applications.

Expenditure

Average consumption (it is recommended to accurately determine material consumption based on a test): 1.5 mm grain 2.5-3 kg per 1 m2 grain 2.0 mm 3-3.5 kg per 1 m2 grain 3.0 mm 3.5- 4 kg per square meters.

Tools

Drill with a mixer, smooth steel and plastic float. Tools should be cleaned with clean water directly after use.

Storage and transport

Store in dry, darkened rooms, in original, undamaged and unopened packaging. Protect against overheating and sunlight (max temp + 25 ° C) and frost (min temp + 5 ° C). Any changes in the structure of the product or packaging that are visible without specialized tests, in particular discoloration or smudging of the packaging graphics, infringements of the continuity of the packaging, biological changes in the structure of the product, identifiable in particular as a consequence of sunlight or freezing, may indicate poor storage or transport conditions and not guarantee compliance with the declared performance of products in accordance with the specifications. The period of product validity and storage in conditions complying with the recommendations given is up to 12 months from the date of manufacture placed on the packaging in digital print.
